What is Josna?


Joensuun Seudun Nuorisoasuntoyhdistys (Josna in short) ry is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation that belongs to The Finnish Youth Housing Association (referred to as NAL in short or officially Nuorisoasuntoliitto in Finnish). Josna rents aparments for all non-student people between the age of 17 and 29,  provides supported housing services and works as an advocate for youth housing.


Josna acts as a developer of social housing for young people (17 to 29-year-old) in Joensuu and the Joensuu region. The association's aim is to provide housing counseling, guidance, education and support services. The basis of our work is providing apartments targeted to young people (e.g. subletting or via collaborators).


Josna doesn't own apartments. The association acts as a service provider. The tenants are chosen on social grounds through interviews. Josna participates both locally and nationally to networked activity which advances housing of the youth belonging to target group.


How to apply?

Josna rents apartments for young people working or entering working life, between the ages of 17 and 29. You can apply by filling the apartment application online.
